Probably my favourite time of year at the moment .Natures bounty at its best and tastes to rival any foreign cuisine .

Love blackberries and apple either a crumble or on cornflakes cold ,ice cold milk .

Truly is a good time of the year mate. Just made some Sloe gin and some Wild Plumb Gin little tiny plumbs growing down by the river. Got some Black Berrys and scrounged some Brambly Apples from a neighbour so will be joining you with a bit of crumble. My favourite time of the years as well. ate.

We usually pick sloes after first frost mate .Softens them to take the gin better .Wife made some Damson jelly which is put away fo4 the winter .Might have to sample bit  though and hide the jar ?

We be lucky if we get a frost before Christmas and was hoping for a tippled them. It's already a lovely colour. What inspired me next door gave me some Damson Gin it's bloody gorgeous.

Thats what I do Mick. As long as you pick them when they are ripe, should feel like a ripe plumb to the touch. Atb.
