I thought it looked different but a lad in here messaged me, an he says it's a greater spotted, but I still think it could be the pilated woodpecker lol

That is what is referred to in pigeon shooting circles as a hoker...feral pigeon lol... Francie that was probably sitting on that railings to let the chocolate gravy ring it just ate out of Doherty bakery on William street digest ?

No that’s a feral pigeon , the bird in the pic is definitely a woodpecker, even with the poor picture quality the fact the legs are so far back on the body makes it very easy to make out what it is, unusual to see one perched like that normally flat against a trunk of a tree hence the legs being so far back ???
