Second silage cut this last few days everywhere mate, that gets them out and about.

Seen one the other evening about 6pm out in a fresh cut field up by Banada, just mooching about without a care in the world.

Where I used to live, harvest in late July and August was amazing, I’d go out at night on the fields they harvested that day and see anything upto a dozen foxes on one field.

No silage cutting here LOL.

I'm afraid this young one wont last long, most of the neighbours keep hens and ducks, once it's spotted it's days are numbered.

Most of the foxes stay in the large plantations, a few dens  on the beach dunes.

Still a nice sight in the eveing.

Plus my cats gone missing as well. I'm sure he had it.

I no I never took a picture so it never happened, but a couple of weeks back during that really hot weather I had all the windows wide open, I kept hearing rustling noises but every time I looked out saw nothing, it was around 1am so I sat in the window and watched a young vixen run in my front garden and start sniffing round an old telegraph poll that’s in my hedge covered in ivy, she went next doors and back my side several times before she climbed the hedge and got 3/4 the way up the poll, she was after a woodpigeon nest that’s in the ivy near the top, spent about 20 mins trying but could not quite get there, I then watched it going down the road walking on top of the hedges with its nose down looking for birds  nests, quite impressed really ?

The Fox is an amazing creature, and robust too considering it is hunted relentlessly.

Love watching them and used to love hunting them.?
