This is the problem though not much restraint out there Quote Link to post

I agree NV and thermal are devastating if abused but a bit of restraint and common sense will see populations kept to a manageable level .Lamping was always my method but the cull taught me discretion in the use of thermal and NV and now lamping would seem very alien to be honest ,almost abusing the darkness . Which thermal spotter you using? Quote Link to post

Squirrel_Basher 17,102
Changing the subject .Thermal and NV on an airgun for rats is proper devastating .We do a pig farm and last winter we racked up 720 rats in 3 months .Farmer has cancelled the pest controller on the strength of what we’ve achieved .Summer is useless over there as the sheds are too hot for rats it seems . We also do a dairy with excellent results .642 in 2 months . 6 Quote Link to post

It’s good sport in the winter months, gets you out of the house.. dread to think how many I’ve shot over the years, if the weathers crap I just shoot out of the car! one of the pig farms was riddled with the fcukers, farmer couldn’t believe how many we got on the first visit cos the poison wasn’t working and the pest controller was going mad at the expense and running at a loss, he still keeps a controller so he can get the red tractor but there few and far between now 1 Quote Link to post
