Hi all, today was my 1st time out ferritin for 30 years as I'm trying to introduce my 12yr son to this dying art, he said he enjoyed it.

Good on you mate its great to get the young ones out, I remember the first season I took my grandson at the age of 5, the big day that still stands out for him was a very frosty and sunny morning ferreting shallow holes and the rabbits were rumbling and thumping under ground, says he still remembers the feeling vibrating up through his feet lol

Nice one hope it sparks a intrest for the lad and he carries on.A great introduction to fieldsports ferreting.

Well done mate, hope you and your son have many years good hunting. One small thing though I would remove that grill on the top of your carrying box and make the lid so any rain shower don't get your ferret wet. Just trying to help mate

Get him out on it. When I was a kid a out 14 years ago ThTs all we had to do fishing ferreting and shooting pellet guns. I tried hard with my nephew to get him into it but he is hyperactive and short attention span so never really took to it like he did with the Ipad unfortunately
