seen loads of whitetail deer down the logging roads,one mulie buck looking a bit worse for wear as he was still shedding his winter coat 

five cow elk feeding in a pasture,loads of ducks n geese (geese had little ones),wolf tracks down the logging roads.

trees still have fully leafed out yet here,its a very slow dry spring.

luckily we didnt get any ticks on us,this time of year is tick season and those little fckrs get everywhere on you,fkcn hate the damn things

Well back at the bear baiting last weekend. Border is closed to Americans but they are just itching to get up here to hunt.

so we headed out to set up baits, if you set anything up the bears will locate another food source or another hunters bait.

 

new gates installed to the lodge. Concrete pad on the front of the lodge is laid. Guides quarters all furnished and butchering table installed.

Hello Ted,

Im just in awe of the body mass of your whitetail deer bucks, they look huge! How heavy are they? I’m out on the east coast and the big bucks are usually 220 - 240 lbs (hanging in larder weight). Cheers 🍻

no clue mate to be fair,never ever weighed one

probably around the same as yours as a rough guess.i know the racks on the deer out this way

grow a lot bigger than yours out east
