Not always hot Ray, but we dont get much rain even in winter, dogs need good feet in this part of the country ground is always rock hard. Yes mate thats his breeding 21.5 tts atm won't get much taller now, he will be pretty good once he matures a bit and finds his feet.

his size is bang on for the rabbit job , and he get not bad feet   and stamina  from the stag, the whippet speed, agility   but he looks ok to me as you say , once he learns to use his gears, he run better and strike on his quarry . when i had my little none ped racing whippet 20 in 20lb  bitch  she catch lot of rabbits day/night  and won few races with her . Some of the males there at the track  were 23 in  34 -36 lb  strong little dogs , a bloke had 2 brothers   there they kill foxes  and bloody cats lol  , they were mad little feckers   lol ,  bet your pup be up for most stuff  he sees when older, the stag and the whippet  give him that , calm/ quite  not working , but when working full on .

what are the non peds like nose wise? Will they mark & work cover? people rave about kc nose & prey drive are non ped as good? genuine question as I have only had crossbreed whippets.

well that little none ped whippet bitch , was good in the day, i took her out with a collie x i had back then, she soon learn to copy him , and use her nose . but suppose whippetx just as good and maybe more natural at it , more so if it got drop of collie in the mix . any dog will use its nose in the day , but if wanted one to do regular  i have lurcher 1st chose .
