Stavross 17,986
Been out for a walk round the pheasant shoot tonight, I’m now at home absolutely freezing and soaked through, not a terrible night as my mate took a scabby looking vixen but not far off, didn’t even bother with pictures because I just wanted to go home so I’ve put a couple on from this morning, out for a few hours with a cracking lad off here 5 Quote Link to post

Stavross 17,986
The weathers definitely changed, I would of thought we will have a light covering on the hill by Sunday, but nothing like you get up your way, a bit of cold weather will do the pheasants good 1 Quote Link to post

Stavross 17,986
We have had a bit of the white stuff overnight, sleet now where I am, my mate has just rang me to say it’s all white on the top where the shoot is, I think he was hinting that he didn’t want to go and feed up and was hoping I’d volunteer to go up, ha ha, it won’t take you long was my reply, crack on son I’ll stay here and turn the heating up a notch Quote Link to post

Stavross 17,986
So my good nature got the better of me again and I’ve been up to give my mate a hand feeding up, a lovely scene on the north Yorkshire moors but bitterly cold in the wind 4 Quote Link to post

Stavross 17,986
The shoots a bit further over mate, between Sutton bank and Helmsley, a place called sproxton, I came down off the top into stokesley and it was clear and windy so it looks like the east wind is blowing it over the tops, looking at the weather it’s going to be very cold over the next week Edited October 27, 2018 by Stavross Quote Link to post
si brown 8,486
you've got some prime ground there done a few jobs over that way.... one was a monastery with ravines either side, site use to get shut down when it was mega windy or foggy due to it being so dangerous! one thing that I wont forget about that area was the size of a stag I saw fm it was huge, came out of the woods about 30yrd away 1 Quote Link to post
Stavross 17,986
Was it the monastery at Wass? That’s 5 mins from me, we have some very big beasts on our land, forestry manage them in the woodland but I can take them off the fields when I want one as long as it’s a cull deer Edited October 27, 2018 by Stavross Quote Link to post
