Lol exactly. Yeah certainly, keep your dog 'relatively' fit, but like you say, when I read some of the fitness regimes on here, well, it leaves me scratching my head in puzzlement! Lol

Why folk try and get dogs fit in this heat I'll never know other than it's foolish and cruel,

My sister in law was on way home from work yesterday and they was a woman with two labs in the park both were suffering with heat stroke, foaming at the mouth and one was on its side in a bad way ,it's tongue was swollen and Even though water and wet cloth's were used to try bring temp down etc this dog died, women said she had only been out for twenty minutes. The other lab was taken to vet's also in a bad way,

Summer time means lazy days for my

dogs and walk's by the river we're they can cool of and they go out before six am or a late evening when its cooler,

Plenty of time to get dogs fit.

Always tempting to get out ,but coney's etc still b around in autumn.

Good shout always remember tekin me dads dogs out rabbiting in the heat when he were at work i must have bin 11 or 12 anyroad it nearly killed them and they wernt the only thing that nearly got killed

I was always trying to take my grandfathers lurchers out as a kid but God did I get a hiding, 

He got that fed up of me pestering him he gave me a Bedlington whippet pup on my 12 birthday.

Sadly, there'll be plenty more of that this summer. Blacky, as kids none of us really know too much. But there are plenty of dog owners that are far from being kids, well, I know that's debatable lol, but there are many many running dog owners these days that will be getting their 'machines' on the go already in preparation for the coming season
