Oliver Cromwell meets Davy Jones

Recommended Posts

Reminds me of an amusing story.

During the peace talks and when Adams and his cohorts were invited to downing Street for a visit.

Someone in the Blair government decided to appease themselves when he noticed in the room the meeting was to be held a painting on the wall depicting some British battle festooned with union flags and redcoats.

He decided it portrayed colonialism and it should be removed! An aide was quickly despatched to replace the painting.

Which the lackey duly did. He looked in a few other rooms for a replacement before deciding on a portrait and it was hung on the wall.

Yea you guessed it was a portrait of Cromwell haha.
