kanny 19,498
Just to add once you get a diagnosis I'd start looking for specialized animal eye surgeons perhaps there's a chance of repair if its just a slipped lense

I had a dog that had a small scratch on the cornea and in the end the poor dog lost sight in that eye. I thought that it was the end of the world but the dog carried on with one sighted eye and it didn't seem to affect its hunting and retrieving ability and it lived a long normal hunting life . Lets hope that the situation gets better. Vet said he can still see through it but it will affect his vision , he said there are two difrent types where the lenses moves in front of the pupil or behind it , he said if it was in front then it would have to be operated on and removed but as it's behind it could stay that way forever and be fine , aslong as it's not hereditary, as if it's hereditary then then it will come away completely and he will have to have his eye removed , and it will most certainly happen to the other eye aswell , he has got go back Monday to see if there is any change i.e. Swelling /pressure/inflammation
