neil b 2,266
An earlie start this morning found me making my way north up the motorway for the first trip of this season, I had 3 Jill kits off iworkwhippets off here which had done nothing and a Jill I had used last season, my mate had 4 with him, we had arranged to meet the keeper to give him a bottle of whiskey and a box of goodies. Once we got ourselves sorted out we made our way to were we had chosen to work today, there looked to be plenty of rabbit above ground so things looked promising, it wasn't long before the lurcher had us a mark so longnets round and youngsters in, after abit of messing about in the entrance, the dark depths proved to much for the youngsters and off they went, in know time 4 rabbits were in the bag, just as a precaution I put my experienced Jill in just to be sure nothing had been missed, so was soon out of the warren to suggest it was empty, that was how the day went on using the kits and just making sure with the older Jill, they had put 15 in the bag, with the lurcher picking the odd one up that had slipped the net, I met up with my mate who also had bagged 15 so just after dinner we called it a day on a respectable 30. All in all not a bad start, fingers crossed the season carries on like it's started 10 Quote Link to post
