What Age To Start Working Ferrets

Just got a couple albino hobs there well handled so time to start working them im unsure of the age but there about half grown just need to fill out when can i get them out

I took my 5 kits out yesterday as a training session...

 

They seemed to know what was what from the off. Ended up with 6 rabbits...

 

They are 17 weeks old.

A good start for the youngsters that FF, I like to start them with either a mark from my lurcher or see rabbits going to ground, then show them as much as possible

if there well grown and mature enough give them a try in smaller burrows , you can help them along by entering a older working ferret till they click and start working

I start mine at about 5 months but don't expect much from them at that age.I start them playing in pipes in the yard from 6 weeks.

Thanks for info guys took them both to a small emty set i know locally and let them go in and out the holes one was like a whack a mole doing his stuff the other ones a fat lazy shit ?
