Two Sessions

been out twice today as my workmate was in court getting banned for speeding!

went out to a paddock perm on me todd with the .22 97 love this rifle

there are lots of nettle beds on this perm that can work with you or against you... it was quite blustery so the rabbits where sheltering in them and

I missed a fair few opportunities... i got two

the first was a bad shot, I wasn't to sure what happened so I hit it with a quick follow up... on inspection it had pierced its ear and just freaked it out, why it dint bolt I'm not sure!

second one was instant check out, off the knee at 38yrd used this bush for cover!

called it a draw after that and went home

 

me mate text me tea time to see if I wanted a mooch.. so we met up at 7 and had a good couple of hours !

he used his .177 100 and I took the ps

we agreed on going to an equine perm that we've not been to for months, my mate went in the barn looking for rats and nobbled a feral while

I stalked up on two evaporating rabbits

the first rabbit fell to my mate.. shot off the pod at 55yrd, spot on placement and instant lights out!

this caused an other rabbit to give its self away so I guessed it to be 70/80 yrd and took the shot freestanding!

my mate lazed it after and it was 75

 

we then nipped to the farm next door thats separated from this one by a train track..

the rats haven't come back from the cull but theres always plenty of ferrels to go at

shooting fish... its like tin can ally, it docent look to bad but through the scope all you can see are shapes..you have to use the ir!

they drop and the pigs go nuts and eat them!

 

all in all its been a good day.... work tomorrow though:(

the soft jsb variants use to cause feather explosions but the h&n's just punch there way through

theres no doubt about the ps being good but the 97 is something else, its smoother/way easier to load and quieter!

 

he got a £600 fine and two week ban... think there will be a tuned up 335 for sale soon!! lol
