They're a dried beef shavings product that you can buy online for feed.

I *think* you're supposed to rehydrate it first and it's a hell of a bargain - like £25 ish for 15 kg of dried meat

That's not a hell of a bargain for beef and depending how it's been dried you will

Lose a lot of the goodness in the process ... you can get beef mince for between 50 - 70p a lb from most pet food suppliers .......

And considering I can get chicken carcasses for £6 for 20 kgs then it's dam expensive ........

I was getting that chicken carcass but found it had either been in freezer for a long time or when I was picking it fresh from the chicken place it was more bone than anything. Do you find yours ok ? I got to another supplier now £7 for 15kg I get it in bulk now so slight discount and split it between local lads it's some of the best dog food you will buy I think plenty of meat and fat on it. Much better than the place 2 minutes up the road bit more expensive but worth it.

Deadeyes - I work 5 mins from Colchester zoo. Who supplies them with meat?

Pm if preferred.

Everyone can have it - they're called Holts and prices seem reasonable but not silly cheap

I used to work for a pet meat supplier, their beef mince was roo minced with lamb fat, beef steak was roo steak and they had a dried meat product that gave dogs the squirts, but I think this was because people fed too much as was very consentrated. We never found out what was in it as it was bought in.There was no regulation on pet food here and not sure if any now,so I feed mine game or chicken.
