bird 10,016
To day , when out on both of my dog walks ,morning and to night , ive bumped in to families with kids i think it must be the warm weather bringing them out lol . This morning a bloke with his 2 young lads , only about 6 -7 at most his lads . As i approached him , i put Buck on lead , Bryn just does is own thing , he goes about mooching lol . Got by the bloke ,told him my big dog ok ,i just holding so don't knock your lads down, he said thanks , and he started fussing Buck, then his lads came and fussed him, bloke said he got great temp , he really liked Buck and his lads , the oldest said can we have one dad , he said yeh, but not bloody big lol.My walk to night , come out the small wood, and seen a bloke and woman , by the side of the edge , just about saw there little dog, little poodle type thing, both my dogs were loose ,Buck went up to the little dog,and just looked and wagged his tail, but i didn't see the little boy they had, but they picked him up. told the woman he ok wont hurt them, the mother holding the little lad let him stroke Buck, licked his face little lad laughed lol, they both liked the dogs, and asked what breed they were told them lurchers, and i said lurchers what ever the type x, make great pets with Brill temps , they both said deff they do don't they . i thought put few lines up about our working type dogs we keep , that regards a honest/reliable temp in a dog , there hard to beat 1 Quote Link to post

billhardy 2,343
It's a good topic ray ,and temperament his the be all end all in a working type and any other for that matter.we see this with our jukels and those that are round noisey kids and family life from welps can only benefit from this environment ,those odd bad uns are either poorly bred or environment socialisation etc.i have seen a witnessed untrustworthy types and of those it was there environment which was most likely for this reason ,poor rough handling has welps atb bunnys.
