What's your opinions on this cross and the amount of collie

The only way to mix Collie and Deerhound to produce workers,is to add Greyhound to the mix,otherwise its a gamble to far.The Deerhound,Grey-Collie{Border}-Grey was once recognised as possibly 1 of the finest hunting jukels our fair isle ever produced and that is a snippet of lurcher folklore that is set in granite.The majority of such breeding now is a piss poor representation of mutts that only a few decades ago were bred on working merit,try and find one now.The Deerhound is a pale shadow of its name,folk attempt to re-discover the Collie and add Collie blood that is better represented by the KC,when the Border as no equal and the racing Grey is as good as it always was.You can circumnavigate what the average Deerhound offers now through hybrid vigour and only hybrid vigour will ever carry the Deerhound name now,the Border as no equal,the Grey as no equal.A combination of the 3 and hybrid vigour is a starting point,a little selective lurcher to lurcher breeding and in a few generations it should be easily possible to bring the Deerhoundy lurcher back on standard.In the 70,s and ,s that scenario would have seemed plausible,the facts are since those times there is not the knowledge readily available now thats capable of breeding further away than the immediate generation.
