scothunter 12,609
Ok i have a combi microwave i use more than my cooker never had any probs. But yesterday i used the actual microwave setting (never normally use the micro) after about 2mins it just lost power nothing no clock no power. Changed the fuse nothing. Then it just came back on. tonight i tried microwave setting again after 30secs lost power again. Changed fuse with a 13amp. power came back. Switched it oven setting ran it for 5mins seemed ok. Not tried micro setting again as im worried it will f**k it completely. Is it worth getting someone to look at it or is just better getting another one. Dont wanna waste cash if its not worth it. Dont even know if you can fix micriwaves lol

Cliff Ray 185
If it goes off and then comes back on a bit later it sounds like it is overheating. Probably a fan has failed connected to the magnetron if it works when just being used as a conventional oven.

I changed the fuse to a 13amp run it for couple mins on micro setting it didnt cut out, but it did that yesterday then little later blew fuse . Tbh if it continues to work ok on the normal oven i will be happy. Hardly ever use micro. Just im not clued up on electricity and paranoid about electrical safety. Thanks for that though mate.
