In France it was quite common to see piles of mortar rounds and artillery shells by the side of roads as the farmers would find them when plowing their fields. Bomb disposal would make their rounds and just pick them up lol We went on holiday near Royan in France, there is a lot of bunkers along the coast line there. I spend many days just mooching about looking at them and there was loads of shrapnel from when they were bombed by the navy and airforce. I also found a clip from a K-98 rifle and some other stuff. The people who owned the place we stayed at had had a swimming pool put in and when the ground was being excavated they unearthed a huge cache of artillery rounds and ammunition. brambles 3,420
There was one found on a beach not far from me in SW Scotland a few weeks back, bomb squad dealt with it, popular dog walking area

Anyhow the cops and the bonb squad came out and sorted it out...since then the pigs have dug up some bullets and half a grenade !!! Will stick some pictures up.....

I doubt they are dangerous though, the ones dumped wont have fuses unlike the ones found in the cities which will have defective fuses.
