MickC 1,825
After a long career Bernard Hopkins got kod in his last fight off Joe Smith last night.Hopkins had goaded Smith all through the build up to the fight and ended up kod in the 8th round. Hopkins of course said he was pushed not kod and hurt his ankle, yet the footage of it shows he was clearly kod and knocked out the ring and landed on his head making him a spectator at his own fight. Hopkins has had a great career but I've never been a fan of him tbh.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9qnZbL6b5I Edited December 18, 2016 by MickC

gnasher16 31,656
It seems horrible to say about a fighter of his stature but it looked like he jacked it in.....did you see it all how was the fight shaping up ?

Never saw full fight yet Gnash, just been watching clips from YouTube. Apparently Hopkins had been up to his old tricks reading a few of the comments from the above clip and others. neems 2,406
It's a shame he'll have a KO on his record now,I think he's a very crafty fella and probably took a knock when he fell and didn't fancy his chances of seeing the final bell if the fight continued. MickC 1,825
During the goading of Smith he had said that he " wanted to go out in a special way,not like a common fighter " he certainly got that.
Lenmcharristar 10,435
Time for the old warrior to hang up the pig skins, he has nothing to be embarrassed about, he dominated long after many stopped, like Jack Johnson. Just a shame he finished with prob the worst ko of his career. What a boxing career he's had and hopefully with no long term damage to his health
