Shaddy93 840
So sad that stuff like this goes on around the world, going back to when I was about 17 My younger brother got involved with some traveller lads he would come home and tell us about this first cross beddy whippet bitch they kept about how much of a bad state she was in being neglected, he came back another day and said iv strikes up a plan in going to ask them if I can take her lamping bring her here and give her some food, he did just that to my amazement he wasn't lieing the bitch could barely walk my mam wouldn't bare sting a dog in that state she went straight to the site and asked him how much they wanted for her because they wasn't having her back haha they accepted £70 the bitch wouldn't eat out of a bowl we had to put her food on top of an empty bin liner bag my guess is they let her root through the bin bags to get her food, my mam took her vets the following morning and there words were "this dog is a maximum 7 days away from death" 7 years later she is a different dog she is still very timid but 100% better around people and other dogs my mam still has to treat her ears every week from where the travelers burnt them using petrol to try and sort an ear infection out, following this case the site was raided they found 4 stolen gun dogs and a saluki type lurcher with all its pads worn down to flesh, once the beddy got right I took her out for a few spins she had the nack for rabbits and even caught the odd Charlie in the tents by garden over the years 2 Quote Link to post

Saluki246 1,053
It was great to see a happy ending alright. They are made of hard stuff, not many breeds would stand that bad treatment. ! Quote Link to post
