Bad Year For Ticks And Fleas

In all my years ferreting this year has got to be the worse for fleas and ticks, anyone else had problems. Every time I've been out???

Iv been ferreting about 7 or 8 times so far this season and to be honest iv seen less fleas on the bunnys than ever before, its wierd and iv not seen any tics on the ferrets so far, hope it stays that way.

I've had a problem with ticks on the dogs and ferrets. Pulled 5 of one of my jills last week.

It must have been the damp from last Winter and the wet Spring.

I bet this Winter sorts them out

Had a few ticks on the ferrets for the first few times out but no fleas.I removed them with a tom o tick but each time they went out there were some more on them.I then put a few drops of frontline on each ferret between the shoulder blades and have not noticed any ticks since.

So far I've not had any ticks or fleas this ferreting season, last ferreting season, I had a few ticks but that was it.
