Camping With The 95

went out for a few hours this morning with the plan of a big bag full of woodys!!

i went to the campsite last weekend and was mortified, there were woodys all over and the pellets id tested were sh!te once pushed past 20 yrd

i couldn't get a sub 4" group at 40 yrd so i called it a day and ordered some jsb heavy's !!

went back this morning and there was nowt, a few came in in dribs n drabs!!

managed a few only retrieved 2 and 2 dropped in the farm next door thats off limits!

my roving approach wasn't going to work today so i hid out behind the van

no mega long shots but they needed threading between branches...

only a couple and they'll be getting breasted and slung in the freezer for later

im chuffed to bits with it ,

it dose what its supposed to and I'm enjoying the back to basics break barrel... no bear-traps and fumbling to get the pellets in

my hands a paggered from work now the weathers changed...so it suits me to be able to drop the pellet in easily!

id happily use it on a night with the lamp for rabbits!

when i stripped it i put in two 1mm washers at the piston end with grease in the middle so the spring can work properly !

so its running a natt's cock under 12flb with jsb heavys

its just over a year since i lost my springer, 11years of loyal service!!

id have an other at the drop of a hat but it wouldn't be fair, he'd be on his own 12hours a day so i cant bring myself to do it

you didn't have to shoot the birds with him, he'd just neck them and bring them me

12 hrs a day ? I know Si, I put my gsp into a doggy day care where they intermingle 30 dogs plus as a pack all day long,- so he learns how to intergrate with other dogs £12 a day but if we are busy not too bad.

Trouble is - he`s not knacked and loves a shag

he was a pointer cross, he looked massive and was a fair bit bigger than a standard springer strong as f and fit as feck!!

he use to come with me when i went out mountain biking on a sunday, the route was 24miles on the bike and he probably doubled that running all over!!

only thing i regret about that dog was that i let the x mrs talk me into getting his balls chopped:( poor fcuker never got laid!!
