Tx Toooooning

Some of you will recall that a couple of weeks ago, we were talking of smoothing out my TX and Charlie Caller very kindly offered to do the work for me.

 

Well yesterday I went over to my old home town of Sheffield armed with my TX and a Tinbum PRO Kit to meet up with Charlie. A warm welcome met me at the door with a chat and coffee before we made a start.

 

Tim is no stranger to tuning so he was quite at home with the work to be done. First off was to fire the gun so Tim could see what it was like before starting, the muzzle flip / twanging was apparent and this was my main concern. The rifle was stripped down, degreased, spring and hammer thingy well polished and it was surprising just how well they came up, a real gleam when finished.

All the bits were checked for fit, which were perfect and all components were treated with either moly paste or secret stuff of Tim's.

 

The end result was amazing with recoil now very predictable with no muzzle flip just a straight back movement and not so much of that either.

 

I must say a big thank you to Tim for his time and expertise, I am very grateful matey and enjoyed watching the whole process.

 

Now just awaiting delivery of a set of Sports Match mounts to arrive tomorrow then one of the Mamba Lites that I have bought will be set up and away we go.

 

A great thing about this forum is the kindness shown by many of it's members which makes it the family that it is.
