Gaz_1989 9,539
Well I've been down to King today to check out some new permission of his. There were rabbit warrens everywhere. Literally riddled with them. But the rabbits were really thin on the ground. First warren we got to, the dogs marked, ferret went in and we had a dig to Kings Jill and put one in the bag. I thought "this looks promising". But it wasn't meant to be. Almost every hole we did after that was non productive. The dogs weren't marking and the ferrets weren't interested either. Plenty of signs of fox so that could be part of the problem. We are going back next week on the lamp to see what's what, see what we can see and where the rabbits (if any) are running to etc. Few pics... She didn't want to go I don't think, it was nice and warm where she was... Having a brew at kings and met the pup... Waiting for a bolt... Nice fat healthy rabbit, shame his mates weren't there. Lol... 5 Quote Link to post

king 12,038
Only way to get a true numbers count is to shine a light round and see what actual rabbits are there Used to peer over the banking yrs ago and see 20+ easily in the end of the field and that was midday.walking the lengh of field there would be even more along the fence line. The place is just empty now. But the holes are still there. Something must have happened up there. Quote Link to post
