terryd 9,020
I had mine in sommat similar for a few years. They dont last well but do the job fine. You could out a few logs or/and pipes in for a bit of stimulation and sort a roll down rain cover from a vit of plastic sheeting. That's the next planThinking of remove the ramp and use the pipe from lower level to top. Going to get one of those hammocks too heard they like those. I don't think I'll have too much bother with driving rain as it's pretty sheltered. Does anyone have any idea on how to stop her throwing her food all over the spot? Bought the heaviest bowl I could find and she still nudges it up with her nose and sends the bowl and buiscuits flying. Thought of getting a recycled plastic container and nailing through it to secure it down. Anyone else have this problem? find some thing like these and just stick an elastic band around the legs stays on fine then Ah yeah seen those in budge cages. I thought of those but i thought a disadvantage would be by attaching to the wire it would risk the food getting wet and spoilt? doesn't seem to be a problem and I prevent rain driving in any way. Plus i tend to top up every couple of days Bad weather i tend to just pull a cover half way down any how 1 Quote Link to post

Rabid 1,936
That will do the job nicely, I must get my Arse in gear and build mine a new hutch so they can have more room, but I do have a large pen they often have a good few hours in during the day, one thing they seem to love is a plastic watering can. 1 Quote Link to post

Mine always tries to get into my shoe (but when I'm wearing them!) She was in her element as I was putting that hutch together, polystyrene and cardboard everywhere. I'm lucky in the fact I can shut the gate (pictured in the photo) and she can run around with no way of escaping. She gets out most days for a hour I sit and have a cuppa and watch her dance around and torment my cat ?. When we eventually get out chasing bunnies she should be plenty fit enough, she used to jump up and grab the wire to the old hutch (it was on tall legs) and heave her self up to get back inside it just like she was doing monkey bars, incredibly strong for their size. Ha, I dare not let mine mix with the farm cat, the cats a proper hunter killer, and so are my ferrets, I couldn't risk it, they often stare at each other through double mesh ! They are strong little critters alright, need to be though, a rabbit is over double their size, be a bit like us grabbing cars on the back roads ! If your short on ferreting........... 1 Quote Link to post
