Micheala Robinson 400
wouldn't worry about her turning her nose up at liver . I would to if I was her lol...the softest tamest playful ferrets will still make good workers . I've had ferrets off pets and they have been cracking workers Also had ferrets off workers that were shite' it's all a gamble but all ferrets will work to some degree..my mate has a ferret that when you have to dig to him wile he's on a rabbit will let you stick your hand up the tube and pick him up in pitch black and won't take a hold of you as its that tame but will kill a rabbit in a stop end in seconds lol.. Get some bendy 4 inch tube and let her run through it. Get her used to running through dark tubes . Then when you have a locator and collar ( if you haven't already got one ) collar her up and let her run through a nice shallow hedge set . If you can try and get a fresh rabbit of someone.. Go to a local shoot and tell them your looking to buy acouple of fresh rabbits gutted but with fur still on . Feed her a whole rabbit in the hutch she'll soon get the scent of them . Well i did think the same as i was unwrapping it! That's reassuring to know, similar to racehorses then. I'm going to get some of that tube but i was waiting on the hutch arriving and was going to make the lower deck a bit of a 'play area' Need to get hold of some gutted rabbits but i haven't had any success, i'm hopefully collecting some game feather from a game dealer and butcher in a town a few miles away in a couple of weeks, they used to sell whole rabbit with their jackets and heads on i'm hoping they still do and i can get one for her. Micheala Robinson 400
My boss shoots but he only shoots pheasants. I don't have much contact with the beaters at the shoot, if I get chance to chat to any of them this year I'll ask them but that won't be until near Xmas so it's a long way away. Might have to 'accidentally' run one over ?? Edited September 11, 2016 by Micheala Robinson Quote Link to post
Frolicking Ferrets 33
She's hard to photograph she's very energetic. The best ones either upload the wrong way up or won't upload as it says picture file too big. Nice little jill you have there ? From the look of her markings, she'll turn lighter in colour as she gets older. Quote Link to post
