Gaz_1989 9,539
Just thought I would share this video and few pics of my littleun at 7 o'clock this morning. She couldn't wait to get up the garage to the ferrets. Hopefully in a few weeks it will have cooled down and we will be out ferreting and not just playing with them in the garage... 17 Quote Link to post

She's very confident with them and I don't want to knock that at the moment. I've not wrapped her up in cotton wool and she's turning out alright compared to plenty I see her age who won't touch a dead rabbit let alone enter their own ferret, lay the net and then dispatch the rabbit. I've still got my leg in plaster mate. Up hospital Monday. Should be off then but depends on the X-Ray. When it does come off I will be working every night for a few weeks to build some money back up as I've had 5 weeks off now. But let me know when you're planning a night and if I can make it I will be over ? 1 Quote Link to post

She lives for it at the minute. All she wants to do is take the dogs and ferrets out and put meat on the table. She loves eating what we have caught and her little face is a picture. I'm sure she will drift away from it when she finds boys and makeup and nights out. Lol, but the foundation will always be there. 3 Quote Link to post
Frolicking Ferrets 33
I was like that when I was younger, always confident with them from day dot then I got bitten badly when I was 12 but it didn't knock my confidence down much, just with the polecat hybrid that bit through 3 of my fingers and my right thumb all at once, was just more cautious with handling him mainly. My little sister is the same, though she's not fond of them gently nipping when playing but she'll get used to it soon enough. Quote Link to post

She's been nipped and had blood drawn and just laughs it off. She's not had a proper bite though, neither have I though to be honest. She's had a proper bite off her corn snake, sank it's teeth and constricted. She just looked at me and said "dad, I think he's trying to eat me" ? Hasn't put her off handling him though... 3 Quote Link to post
