Apparently her father was murdered 10 years ago and her family agreed to donate his organs. A recipient received his heart. The daughter found out it was given to a man and she wrote to him and asked if he would consider giving her away at her wedding. She said it would make her day as her father would be there somewhat in body and spirit. He replied and agreed saying it would be an honour and that he would be proud to give her away. It was very emotional for all involved, she said she had the feeling of her dad's presence being there and of course the recipient was firstly very grateful for the transplant and overwhelmed to be asked to do such a personal thing.
