Just wondering if there is any lads who make a living out of it, thinking of making the change and coming out of the building game and doing it full time. I have done lots before but through a contractor doing a local authority work,i really enjoy doing it just hoping i can make enough to pay the bills, just wondering if any lads had any info about prices around there area

Your contractor will be charging you out to local authority at £200+ per m2 and you probably see £25 of that, i know because i price for a contractor and they do a lot of local authority work. I have also done my fair share of stone walling.

A couple of pages form Laxtons and Griffiths pricing books a couple years out of date but give you an idea. Prices include stone obviously less if stone on site.

Eh up Gruffalo. How the hell are you ? Bit quiet and your lads not doing much. Come on, cheer us all up with something new.jok.

Just not getting the time Jok. Just bought a 2 x 72 belt grinder for the lad so he will start churning blades out when that arrives. Intended making one but never have enough time. Always making & mending but nothing too exciting. Got a few things to post up, again need to upload pics etc. Takes more than a few regulars to keep the forum going, good to see a few new/returning faces on here and posting stuff, keep at it lads
