First Go On New Permission

Recommended Posts

I had a new permission confirmed over the weekend and, f**k me it's a good 'un

It's not massive but, it's not exactly small either. It's got a big manor house, a farm shop, live stock, woods, fields, poly tunnels, a lake, orchards, grain silos, cricket pitches, hedge rows, pylons and a waterfall :o

The old girl that owns it usually turns down shooting requests but, because I've done some work for her and one of her daughters in the past, I've been given free reign, day or night

We popped down there for a short first look last night and only managed to get to one of the orchards and the grain silos.

The grain silo was covered in rats. We layed on the track, 20yrds away and popped off 8 in quick succession (recovered 5) before they wised up.

That was a lot of fun.

Then we went round the closest orchard. We easily got a rabbit each. I don't think they've been hunted much at all

I dropped the rabbits off to the old girl today and had another look around. There's still loads to explore.

I'm going to enjoy this

Nice one jonjon

Keep you busy for a while.

It will mate - there's loads of nooks and crannies. The boundary is a weird shape - it'd be easy to wander onto someone elses land so, I'm sticking to the bits that I know until she sorts me out a map.

was a good weekend all round for bagging perms :victory:

It was indeed mate :good:

It's been a while since I got a new one. I hadn't been trying very hard but, I have been knocked back by almost every golf club in Wiltshire in the last few months

Those rats were in the dark ..... but they were taken unbaited during a quick first whip round.

We're back out there on Thursday. I'm going to treat them to some peanut butter on a board and a split tin of dog food ;)

Shooting them was very satisfying. Especially shooting the ones up on the silo and watching/hearing them fall off :D
