neil cooney 10,416
Around me it's the opposite. Don't know why but very few . Even the old reliables like the Meadow Brown are rare. I seen a hatch of Red Admirals the other day and that's been the high light of my butterfly year. Seems to be plenty of Moths about though.

socks 32,253
Butterflies are attracted by male pheromones and apparently the more In touch you are with your feminine side the sweeter your pheromones smell to butterflies ... Elton John and dale winton have lots of butterflies in their garden ... Just saying ... Whistling .......
neil cooney 10,416
Read today in last weeks Shooting Times that it's predicted for 2016 to be a bad year for butterflies in GB. Yet ye seem to be seeing plenty over there. Scarce here though.
