Bit Of Cleaning Up Around The Farm

Recommended Posts

Did some thinning out of the flock today after got back from work. They've been using the stables and tractors as their own personal toilet.

Shot my humble little break barrel Benjamin NP2 .22 using the Crossman Piranha pellets that I've really been taking a liking to lately.

Two were put down in the stable at 20-30yards. One clean kill through the chest but the other was winged and had to be finished on the ground.

Tossed em in the compost pile then left the arena for a bit to let the pigeons settle down. Went by the garden/workshed to pick off some Starlings. Never got a clear shot on them unfortunately without risking putting holes in the workshop and the heat was getting to me so figured I'd circle back to the stables and get a shot at one more bird for the cats before I headed in for some A/C and a beer.

Got a shot on the last bird at about 45 yards and had to make the retrieve up in the rafters in the hay bales. The last bird got breasted for lunch tomorrow and the rest to the cats.

Tidy job, well done.

Where about are you?

U.

The states. Up in the Pacific Northwest

Did you have the layercake soundtrack playing while you were thinning the flock :)

57 posts and never noticed you in the air guns sec. Nice man. Especially from over the water :)

I'm generally in the terrier section no fancy high dollar PCP or anything like some of you but there's plenty vermin around the property to shoot so I'll try to post more here.

You do that. And get ya self something better that that.., whatever it is :)

European rifles are always best :)

Saying that I spent the better half of 1600 on a rifle made in the US.

Edit = and don't f'kin use it!

Extra edit = it is the most accurate rifle I've owned though. Yes, it pulls the pants down on my old 100 and any 100 I've shot. Wait for it...

It's a great location and hunting culture. Plenty to keep busy both above and below ground.

Ha it's a Benjamin Trail NP2 in .22. Spent less than $250US on it new. Maybe my next step up will be one of those fancy long range kits with the scuba tanks. Edited by Naustroms

Those airforce texans you have in america look pretty serious. Video on youtube s guy firing 350 grain pellets and they are going out through 3/4" plywood at 400 yards.
Bit strong for pigeon lol.
