Underdog 2,337
Whilst knocking feral pigeon off I bumped into a cracking young buck rabbit and had to have it. I also set some decoys under some sitting trees for a good hour. Got seven down but only four to hand! I love this simple air gun. And I do love getting close to the quarry. I could of filled a small sack with a shotgun but I don't find much fun in that anymore. A little and often is plenty for me.? U. 5 Quote Link to post
Nicepix 5,650
Brilliant. Whilst I liked the 78 in many ways, I couldn't get on with co2. But I'm glad that you can. Quote Link to post

What was the problem? Thanks guys. U. I bought 7 or 8 at an auction at a very reasonable price and kept two back, a 78 and a 79. It was the uncertainty of the power output. Maybe I had a duff gun, but the pellet speed dropped considerably from the first two or three shots and then again after about 10 or 12 shots. After that it just continued downhill. The 79 was a lot better, but not as good handling as the 78. Too nose heavy and expensive to run compared to my HW77. Quote Link to post

I have only had two but both have responded well and a friend had a 79 that I fixed and that too did very well after. What I do like is how easy it is to carry spare gas and pellets, giving me 100 + shots in a single pocket. U. Quote Link to post
