Michael J B Lancaster 69
No one can stop it shaking or moving about! You have to wait for it to pause a split second and trip the trigger. How many times have I got to..... There's movement and there's whatever it is that my rifle does. I know it can't be held perfectly still. I'm stupid but not that stupid. The amount of play in mine though just isn't normal. Even resting the rifle on something, I can't hold the bloody thing still. I'm not holding on for dear life and tensing, so what am I doing wrong apart from shaking like a dog having a poo? Are you resting your hand on something soft, like a shooting bag, to dampen the movement? If you are, then you have early-stage Parkinson's disease, and should consult a medical professional. Doesn't matter what I rest on. Obviously more pronounced while standing but still bad enough while resting on something to warrant asking questions. Quote Link to post
Underdog 2,337
Ruling illness out, I too have had rifles that are poor off hand shooters! It is not a weight thing but can be and not a length thing but can be but if I have a bit of a rule/s it is; Never buy a rifle without trying one first and I tend to aim for slim stocks and longer rifles.
