mel b 4,056
evening fellas, some of you will already know that my good lady makes leather shooting goods , weve come up with our latest belt pouch for a mk3 locator , all our stuff is very good but i think this one is a real cracker , this site has more ferreters than anywhere else that i can think of so i thought id ask here first , what do you guys think of it ? , constructive criticism is very welcome , these will be for sale on here at £15.00 , what do you think to the price ?, i cant promise that well change anything , but itll be nice to get a few honest opinions before doing a full production run. the pouches are very nice quality soft leather , they have a belt loop with press studs so that it can be easily removed from the belt , it has holes for pinpointer and on/off switch , and holes for the speaker , it also has a clear plastic window in the top flap so that the depth meter can be seen without removing the locator from the pouch. thanks in advance for any helpful posts gents.

moxy 617
Looks a nice and tidy piece of leather work. One suggestion. Loose the holes in the cover for the speaker. They are not needed IMO
mel b 4,056
Don't forget the rest of us Mel lol atb Flacko the other ones are still perfect for the job , this is just the next model up , our products evolve daily and next weeks model might be different again , we try to react to our customers requests rather than just plodding along with something that can be made better , we might be able to retro fit a window into the earlier pouches and well be taking a look at that over the next few weeks. They are not needed IMO youre right , this is something that i puzzled over for a couple of days , i guessed in the end that its easier to cover the holes at a later date , than it is to put holes in , i think the answer might be to send a patch of leather with each new pouch , and the customer can cover the holes if they wish.
socks 32,253
I don't see a problem with the holes personally ... people with not so good hearing or lads out ferreting in high winds will be glad of the holes so the sound isn't muffled .......

I don't think a pouch with no holes in would silence the locator too much. It would just save having to put tape over the speaker which is something I have done with every MK3 I've owned. One less thing to fill up with mud and clay.
mel b 4,056
ive just had a word with her good self , weve decided to send a leather patch with each pouch , the patch will have double sided tape already fitted and can be attatched inside the pouch(where it cant be seen) , it will then be up to each customer if they prefer it with or without the holes covered. shes made a few today so ill be putting them on sale in the ferreting section later , just drop me a pm if anyone would like one. were always looking to improve our products , so if anyone has other preferences/ideas , please feel free to give me a shout.
