collieman 47
Having my fac I honestly couldn't tell you the last time my airgun was out the bag. Years. now I'm going to have to apply for a licence or get rid of the gun. Was listening to a bit on the radio saying crime with airweapoms has fallen drastically . Hassle for nothing Emailed them this morning to make sure if you have fac you will not need to declare air weapons till your renewal then it will cost an extra £5 the best thing people can do is to ask questions to police Scotland themselves keeps them busy I am sure they will not keep up with demand they are already struggling with shotgun and firearms certificates. 1 Quote Link to post
the cobra 269
Do these muppets in the Scottish government and the police really think that all these ass holes that is causing all the crime with airguns going to apply for a licence big fat no chance so it's is going to make one bit of difference to airgun crime it's just another way to tax the working man 1 Quote Link to post
collieman 47
It was the Scottish gov that has pushed through the legislation the police had told them it was a bad idea and a probably not possible to enforce with the amount of paper work involved as they can hardly keep up with shotgun and firearms certificates. The best thing to happen would be if they got flooded with questions about the law and for people not to hand in their weopons but take out a certificate. The grant is £72 but that only works out at £14 per year I think the English have to pay more than that for there fishing license. 1 Quote Link to post
