mattwhite 1,993
Well what was supposed to be a bit of range finding and practice with the tx on the primos out past my 34 yard max at home ended up being a maggie in the bag instead. I had whizzed up to my close perm and before I had got any targets out heard some maggies mobbing a buzzard who was showing an interest in their nest so I stalked up to see what was where and saw 2 young maggies at the top of a hawthorn tree. The adults were busy driving the buzzard off and one of the youngsters flew off to a good 100 yards away but his pal stayed put......bad news....Before he had clocked me the tx was mounted nicely on the primos and the cross hairs on the boiler room as his head was obscured by a branch. I squeezed the trigger and.......f*#k all happened as in my rush I left the safety on. Fortunately it was a young maggie so I had time to go again and down he came, stone dead. I spent the next hour waiting for the adults to come back but to no avail. Still, one bandit down. ATB 3 Quote Link to post

mattwhite 1,993
How did you get on with your target session, did you get to test yourself and set up at all?I spent too much time tucked into the long grass in the corner of the field waiting for the others to come back pal and it was time for home.I reckon the maggie was about 25 yards so well within my tested 35 yards off the sticks. If I get time tomorrow I'm going again and trying them out up to 50 yards. Quote Link to post
