Back to my favourite rugby club permission last night. The conditions were perfect - no moonlight, very little wind and, it wasn't cold.

 

I had around 110bar in my HW100 - from tests, I know this is where its power peaks a little

 

The first took a pellet just as it stood up. He fell over and gave me a little wave with his back leg.

 

The second was in long grass, near the top of a large mound, about 45yrds away. I could see eye shine and ears. I steadied the rifle on my stick and aimed at the top of his head. I couldn't see him go down but, there's no mistaking the sound of a hit from a JSB Heavy

He took the pellet just to the back of the eye.

Why dont you get a moderator for your rifle?

That does look quite a moderator on an air rifle, if it was a bit longer it would be very similar to the over barrel reflex mod I have on my .243 stalking rifle.

It is a bit of a lump. It's an A&M Marksman. I've found it to be quieter than HW, Huggett and BSA vc mods.

 

The cover doesn't help. It's a neoprene cover that was too big until I modified it.
