Bent Barrel S410 Carbine

Recommended Posts

Out rat shooting Fri & sat nite, late last nite the swing swivel broke and my rifle ended on the ground.

I took mod off and barrel is bent, going to gunshop tomorrow as the rifles only 9 months old and this is the 2nd swivel to break. Im not a very happy chappy and I just looked at replacement barrel cheapest was £102.

If I get no joy from gunshop , anyone got a s410 carbine .22 for sale Please.

Cheers

Bry

Bry, I wouldn't be leaving the shop without confirmation that they are going to pay for a new berrel pal.

If on the packaging it states that they are suitable for fitting to a rifle etc for the purpose of carrying over the shoulder as you would expect then the part I'd defective.

The spring swivel manufacturer is to blame but you bought it from your rfd so it's now his responsibility to make sure he's not allowing people to buy shit that's going to fail so don't take no for an answer bud and good luck.

BRY, im not sure mind but the slightest knock on a s410 will move the barrel ether to the left or the right

I now you dropped it when the swivel broke but loosen the band and see if it will line back up what may look bent may not be the case you will need a tiny aln key for this .

Vizlauk has done this a few times out in the field

there prone to it

its just a thought mind

hope you get it sorted Bry

This is very common with the air arms they fit a 12mm barrel and for some stupid reason turn the end of the barrel down to 10mm where the silencer fits. i have had so many air arms rifles in with broken slings that caused bent barrels.you are better off to have a 12mm barrel fitted and have a adaptor made to fit over the barrel not one of the rubbish ones that has grub screws holding it to the barrel. I make a sweated joint that has a 1/2" unf thread you can then screw any silencer to the rifle
