Tiercel 6,986
We have a lot of Little Egrets here but I can never get close enough for a good picture. Great pictures. TC
CRAZYHORSE 2,647
thanks tiercel,i was in the car and they did not seem to bothered, so I managed to get close enough for the pictures. There are lots of little egrets here, but the great white egret was a good capture. There was a purple heron here recently but sadly I missed it.

neil cooney 10,416
Good pictures there. I remember the first Little Egret we had around here one of the local cowboys informed me he was going to shoot the albino Heron and have it stuffed. He was also the worst taxidermist in Ireland. I had already seen the Egret. I told him if he brought an albino Heron to me I'd give him 1000 euro. Called me a know it all f****r then when I told him the truth, me, a know it all !!!!! LOL. We have several Egrets around here now and I've seen them catching small fish regularly. Lovely birds, we don't have the Greater Egret ........yet.
gnipper 6,786
There was one of the bigger ones knocking about with a little egret a few years back around here but I've never seen one before or since. We get plenty of little ones though.

Tiercel 6,986
This little bugger was playing hide and seek with me, every time I was getting closer, he would turn his back and walk further out. TC
gnipper 6,786
I think I put this on in the winter but these are on a little paddock at work right next to some houses. One flew into my rollers yesterday and they didn't like it.
