When Did It Change?

But if it helps you shoot better and helps kill the quarry cleanly is it a bad thing ?. I would say they have only gone to far when you don't even need to point and aim at the quarry to put it in the bag ?.

What about a PCP with an infinite shot count? It's uses some sort of smart arse device that pulls air in, cleans and compresses it each time the rifle is cocked...

I'll just sit back and watch the cash flow in :)

Changes are all ready on the way rez just look at the new hw110

and the materials its made out of .

Pesky are you suggesting that in the future, some kind of "lesser" so to speak form of licensing will allow Joe public to own a 12+ftlbs air rifle? Which previously was only available on an FAC certificate, in my opinion there is about as much chance of that happening as me being next pm,I can see a form of licensing being introduced for sub 12ftlbs rifles, but restrictions only get tighter mate not slacker, the powers that be simply do not want people owning 30ftlbs air rifles, certainly not on some buy at the post office form of licensing, it will remain fac territory exclusively.

Its already happening up here we have to get a license this year for our air guns , and I don't know if its just a license or has every gun to be on it watch this space and the confusion it causes to Police Scotland

I would love to see some pics of those game changing air guns, Please post if they are available. Also it would be great to add faces to names of the people who influenced the production ofthose guns.

I was able to Google some images of the Original 45 and a good write up on it. :boogy:

I remember looking at the hw80 next to BSA Mercury's, Meteors, Vulcans etc on the gun rack when they first came out, it was like looking at a m3 BMW compared with a Vauxhall viva, I quickly sold the Mercury I had and got a .177 hw80, the difference was startling, pcp's were a very rare commodity back then, but there were some very good, very accurate pump up rifles around, the Sharp ace being one of the best, sometimes wish I had never sold mine, as I shot dozens of rabbits and other quarry with it.

Looks and stying possibly Rez.

There will be some advances in the efficiency of air cylinders. Perhaps there will be a smaller cylinder than cutrrently seen, Narrow enough to be completely hidden from view but with no loss of capaicity to provide 80-100 full-power shots. Spartan ISP rifles are stunnungly beautiful hand-built air rifles with classic full-bore sporter looks. The cylinder is completely hidden from view and the result is a sleek, graceful bolt action rifle. The walnut for their stocks is absolutely beautiful and these rifles are serious money.

But that could be where things will go in future. Smaller, energy efficient cylinders? Regulators?

Light weight super strong alloys to make lighter weight spring rifles?

Advances in plastics for stocks?

Another calibre? .019 say? More precise than 22 ,faster than .20 ?

Daystate make a superb regulator for their production rifles as standard fit.?

Could be some amazing things to come.

Im with you on that one.

you only have to look at the pro sport to see how well hidden levers and parts are for springers so I don't think it will be long before we see a pcp that resembles something similar. I know I'd walk through a bears cage with a lump of rib eye hanging from my back pocket to own a pcp pro sport!!
