ryaldinhio 5,188
I only got myself set up again this year. Still had my hutch, thanks to a member on here I soon had a hob and a jill from 2015 litter and also the opportunity to work them when they were ready. I soon picked up another couple of jills and built a second hutch. The plan was always to give them a little try this season, tho we didnt really get one, and then get them into it properly next season. I got out a few times with them but not a lot at all. still handling everyday and spending time with them. Now I am planning on building a proper court over the summer to get them a bit sharper for work next season. Each of my ferrets is different and has a totally different character which I find fascinating. Owning the stinkers is fast becoming an obsession and I havent even had a real chance to do the best bit yet! I think am guna find it hard to stop now. I can see the court/hutches getting bigger and bigger! Its only for a hobby so hopefully they will work when the time comes and all will have their different uses, if they dont then they will still be kept as they are like the little girls pets now. Already looking forward to next season and fingers crossed we actually get one. I can see this is easy to get obsessed with and evolve from havin a couple of ferrets in a little hutch to having an army of them and ferrer barracks to keep them in! 5 Quote Link to post
