Waz 4,293
Need a bit of technology help please. Just bought a samsung tellywelly to use with the p.c. P.c. output is a VGA, so if I get a vga male to a hdmi male cable will the sound also come out the telly? or have i made a boo boo? Thankyou Edited February 9, 2016 by Columbo
walshie 2,804
Should be ok as long as you make sure you buy a lead with audio. Not 100% sure, but it's probably a VGA female to hdmi you'd need.
Lid 194
There's no sound on VGA output, so you have to get the sound from the PC audio out sockets or the headphone jack. here's an example from a quick search: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Patuoxun-Adapter-Convertor-Converter-support/dp/B00K808RVQ

It will save on all the messy wires. http://allaboutchromecast.com/chromecast-how-to-guide/how-to-use-chromecast-to-share-desktop-screen-and-audio-to-tv/ Edited February 9, 2016 by kanny

Waz 4,293
no vga input but ordered the fancy plug that LID recommended, gonna use the telly as a big monitor so be permanently wired just for p.c.
