Fox Cage Trap

Recommended Posts

I've just got a new piece of land and a damn (lamp shy I'm told) fox has started killing the farmers chickens :censored:

I work away alot and so shooting can only be done at the weekends therefore I am thinking about trapping it. This will give me time to get home and sort it.

My options as I see it:

a) Borrow one. Is there anyone near Nth Wilts or along the M4 corridor who can lend me a trap for a week or two?

B) build one

c) Buy one

Building one is possible but given my time constraints probably not practicable but if someone has plans then I can do it in slow time for the future.

If I can't borrow one then buying is the next option. Can anyone recommend a supplier? obviously, as its only planned for a one-time effort I dont want to spend a fortune.

Can anyone help?

Cheers

How are u going to check it if you work away?

Valid point.

There are loads of traps on the web, but get one a decent size and strong, the fox will do its best to rip it apart to escape, and it WILL need checking at least daily, preferably twice a day.

I'm only about two hours away so can get back if needed. The farmer would check it daily but I take your point. Perhaps setting it for the second half of the week when I'm about might be better.

Anyone recommend a good sized strong trap? If I buy it might as well last me.

Procter Pest Stop. Not cheap, but practically indestructible.
