Which .22Lr Eley Ammunition For Club / Sport?

What Eley ammo would you guys recommend for club / sport shooting? I'm only interested in Eley as my Anschutz 1417 loves Eley Subs for varmint shooting.

 

Tenex: 1st choice but is it overkill?

Sport: 2nd choice, sound great?

Club: 3rd choice, but is it too much of a entry level?

It is true that many target shooters use Eley, but just because your rifle likes the Eley Subs, there is no guarantee it will work best with their target rounds.

 

Just the same, there is a fair chance, but as is always said, only you can find out what is best in your rifle by trying them.

Eley club is a decent round if you are a bit more serious use eley match , only slightly less fliers . If you want to get into shooting match cards and build your yearly average up go for Tennex , but the price increases between the three. Each of these is more than adequate , then you can only blame yourself.

I've found tenex to be the most accurate bullet in my anschutz. I bought some in a mixed lot a few years ago. Shooting off a bag at 75 yards, they were one ragged hole.

Tenex is premium stuff IMO. ^^^ my Anschutz loves it. It's pricey but worth it to find out what your gun can do.

The new Eley Edge with the black brass is receiving excelent reports from target shooters, It's subsonic and supplied in handy black plastic slider boxes. It works very well in my semi-auto.
