steg 609
Which ever size you get, make sure you can see over your silencer. That's food for thought..didn't think about that one! Appreciate all the replies..all this is getting taken on board. Just out of curiosity..is this much of a problem and is it worse on high/low mag,low light etc? Atb. Edited January 5, 2016 by steg Quote Link to post
steg 609
Going for it! Going to treat myself to the hawke next week and the medium sportsmatch mounts..will time it so they land after the double hernia op and I've got 2-3 month off work to play about with them, test a few pellets and badger the life out of you lot! Will dig this topic out of the depths and bump it up again with the clearance (or not ) with a photo or two and maybe some mounts for sale. End of the day 20 squids not going to break the bank and this might help somebody looking for the same set up? Atvb 1 Quote Link to post

Even if you have a very fat moderator the scope should focus it out, it is VERY rare a moderator will cause an issue with a scope, even if its sitting on the barrel. VWman 232
I think mate, you will find the prostaff has a 1" tube, mine has anyway. Hello Charlie I have a new Pro Staff 7 and they have a 30mm tube. Think all the pro staffs are good in both sizes of tube. Quote Link to post
steg 609
BUMP!..well for anyone interested in the weihrauch hw100kt and the hawke airmax 4-16×50 sf..here's a few photos with the medium mounts. Had a mare trying to get the sportsmatch medium mounts (out of stock.. highs in stock everywhere) ended up with the blueprints- model TO35D..rust proof and made by sportsmatch apparently with the same 'A' measurement. Zeor'd in ok at 10,15,20,25 yards..will push it out to 40-50 when i get chance. Can't use the sunshade with these mounts because it clashes off the barrel support but personally wouldn't use it anyway to keep the weight down. Flip up lense on the objective slightly caught the barrel too but a quick fine wet n dry fettled that.(or you can take it off) Overall pleased with the clearance..apologies for photos..new Samsung s6 and downsizing with photobucket been a right chunt! 1 Quote Link to post

You have a HW100, a scope with a large side wheel and you are concerned about weight? 1 Quote Link to post

villaman 9,982
If you a worried about weight then get A&M cylinder ,it will give you more shots as well Quote Link to post
steg 609
Weight not too big an issue..(the way the gun fits and pulls nice and tight in helps if you know what i mean) Saying that time it's got a bipod and sling on its going to be putting on a bit of weight. Will certainly look more into those cylinders..cheers. Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
I only put a bipod on if I know that I'm going to be laying about, if I'm on a walk about, it's off. Quote Link to post
