ryaldinhio 5,189
Well after gettin screwed by the cnut of here and having had a little bit of a bad run of luck I had saved up my pennies again for a finder. Laddylurcher off here messaged me about a lot on a fleabay. Had a look, it was at peterborough where just by chance I had a friend working this week so contacted the guy and paid the dosh and my mate collected today for me. almost new mk3 finder with 2 collars, game bag, 60+ nets and a load of net making kit twine needles loops etc. 220 notes which I thought was a right deal. Anyways Im all kitted up now and ready to go, hopefully be out Saturday morning with Laddylurcher for a few hours, might even have a go of a write up if we get out! 4 Quote Link to post

LaddyLurcher 261
nice to see Ry with a smile on his face today trying to use his new locator! Good day out despite the breeze, the long nets and dogs worked well today. Lots of land to go at but we're just getting a feel for the place so not a massive bag but we still both took a few bunnys home. Nice to see Ry's Young hob starting to bolt them, onwards and upwards now for his young team. My silver hob worked like a trooper again, best ferret I've ever Owned what a legend he is and my young pups get better and better. The future is bright for this ferreting team!! Quote Link to post
ryaldinhio 5,189
Thanks again for today dave. Finally made it out! Im learnin at same time as the ferrets, I dont think one of my purse nets stopped owt today!!!...pegs to the top! long net and a cracking pair of dogs saved my blushes half a dozen times! Practice needed thats for sure. Whats the cross breed of the animal in the third pic of each batch? he looks a cracker! haha. 1 Quote Link to post
ryaldinhio 5,189
By the way, thanks for not mentioning that I was warming myself up for a 10 foot dig to retrieve my hob who had simply snagged himself in a purse net..... 10ft away!!! 4 Quote Link to post

Best way to learn mate...cant beat getting out ,doing it and making mistakes I know someone who tipped 3 ferrets in a huge warren ,without turning on any of the collars The same person also had several deep digs to ferretless collars due to them not being put on tight enough All part of the fun 1 Quote Link to post

I think she is collie bull whippet, Im sure laddylurcher will be on and confirm. She is looking that she will make a right bitch. Dont get me wrong, they both are good dogs, but for what I would personally want in a dog and for the work I could give it, she would be the one. Always looks like a coiled spring and when she runs its like she isnt even trying! like theres plenty in reserve if needed. On top of that shes soft as a brush and an absolute stunner!
