Bell Tent

Recommended Posts

For anyone who might be interested I just found and ordered a 5m heavy canvas bell tent 50% off 550 down to 225 brand new?

That's cheaper than most sell at second hand ex festival tents

The site is camping & canvas based in Cheltenham

I've been looking at these for a while, glad I held off now? I've got to start a bit of camping down the smallholding next year, camp fire danish oven and all that

Just to good a deal to miss

Get a sown in ground sheet, put soft tape round the metal zip handles, invest in good quality wooden pegs for the tension ropes (long multi notch), don't sleep in it the 1st time it rains from New (it will leak until the seams swell and close upon drying), realise it's a car camping tent and have somewhere that you can dry it out following a trip.

Most importantly, never lend it out. Ever.

Great tents.

looks ok to me mate ... I have hired out 6 different types over the last 6 months or so to try and decide which one I want ... obviously the one I liked the best was the most expensive lol ... to be hones I didn't see a lot of difference in the fixed groundsheet to the zipped in one however once I zipped it together I wouldn't pull it apart again so just as well go for a sewn in one ... but at that price it is tempting .......

I was panicking for a second I thought you may have had a bad experience with that company or something!!

Yeah same its a great price

I thought I might use it sometimes without the groundsheet for potting up down the smallholding, just as a rain shelter sort of thing

I've already told the wife if we ever split I'm living in it down the holding, sod renting or buying another house on my own, I'll be that smelly guy who lives in the woods :)

Now that's what I want to do, rabbit or pigeon cooking on the fire with veg out the ground not minutes before

That looks bloody great mate, just you or do family come along?

Just for me when I'm working away from home mate .....
