Hiccups

Are some dogs more prone to hiccups than others? Mine has a bout of them every few days and they last for a couple of minutes at a time. It's not after food. He seems to get them after he has just woken up.

My Beddy Whippet gets hiccups on a near daily basis, mostly in the mornings.....

My pup used to get them every time she ate , she is now about 5 months old .dog never seems to have them now .

Same here my pup all ways has them for a few minutes after every meal.ive never had a dog with hiccups before.

I think some must be more prone than others. I've never heard either of my present two do one but some of my previous mutts did it regularly all their lives.

Max gets it as well. Used to have them really often but it has calmed down recently.

When i googled it, it said apparently it's most prevalent in fast growing pups, bit like growing pains.
